Camping is hard with kids. But what better way to do it, then in your own backyard. All of Sean's siblings brought their kids and we set up tents and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. All the men volunteered to sleep outside with all the kids so us women folk could stay warm and cozy in our own beds (which if you know me, you know that I REALLY appreciated that). It was getting late and we couldn't find Landon. We looked in the tent and he had crawled in all on his own and fallen asleep. The kids had such a good time. We will have to do it again this summer.

Look at me, I'm 2!
Brooklyn celebrated her second birthday at her Grammy's house. It was a Hello Kitty themed party. The biggest hit was probably the baby gear. She loved the stroller and the bed. In fact, I think she thought the bed was for her! It was so much fun. Thank you to everyone who came and helped us celebrate our baby girl.
Landon's Christmas Program
Landon's preschool puts on a Christmas program every year. Needless to say, I was one proud mama. When it was Landon's turn to say his line, he marched right up to the microphone, spoke very clearly and flashed us a big smile before returning to his seat. While some of the other kids were nervous and didn't want to say their part, Landon had no stage fright whatsoever. But does that really surprise us?? He loves being the center of attention, haha.
Splish Splash
It didn't take the kids long to realize that mommy and daddy's bathtub is way cooler than theirs. It is practically big enough for them to swim in and we quickly figured out that the jets create loads of bubbles. Now we have to bribe them to take a bath in their own tub!
Brooklyn turned 1!
So, yeah, we are terrible parents. Almost two years later and I am just now getting around to posting about Brooklyn's first birthday. Better late then never, right? We were able to celebrate it with my family in SD which was very fun. All I can say is, she loved the cake, and surprisingly did a pretty good job of not getting too messy. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. A big thank you to my sister, Juliette, for hosting the party.

Halloween 2011
Sean's skills were put to the test when his work sponsored a pumpkin carving contest. His batman took first place winning the most number of votes. Landon had fun dressing up as Captain America and Brooklyn is "buggin" us all in here ladybug costume. Last but not least I had to include a picture of our friends John and Mary because their lobster idea was just too cute not to include.
Family Pictures 2011
Here are some photos from our family pictures we took last fall. Thanks Tineka, for being our photographer. Brooklyn didn't get a nap that day so we only got one picture...literally...of her smiling. I am just thankful we made it through the photo shoot with no tears.

San Diego July 2011
So obviously I haven't posted on our blog in a long while so now I will be playing a bit of catch up. Forgive me if some of the posts are out of order. These pictures were taken at Sea World last summer. Enjoy!
